Hello void. Once this was a well taken care of blog. There were friends and lots of exchange. Until…life took over and i didn’t put any more effort in this great space. Enough. Still life is in command and still is midnight here so that’s why i have some spare time. The fact is that writing is the best way for me to communicate with myself and you void is the best listener. You don’t expect gain and you don’t judge violently as social media does. By the way how angry and bureaucratic live in social media is growing to be. We are moving from 6 to 600 degrees of separation because of it. Anything is a reason for you not to agree and when you don’t agree in social media you must retaliate. Trump is surely a post social media president. He wouldn’t survive the old days of letters and post cards. Not enough room for discontent. As a result of all this now we have computers as main interlocutors between human interactions. I’m not sure it’s a good idea for us humans. I guess for computers it’s ok. Some people say some day computers will take over anyways. In the meantime i wish to get back to a less rude form of digital interaction and the space is exactly it. Thanks void. I hope you get back being a populated space with friends and exchange. Good week to you…

I’ll write about a different beginning. Not the new year’s eve. I live in Brasil and my country was a dictatorship on the 70’s and beginning of the 80’s. Until not a long ago people didn’t even know how to vote wisely. Other thing missing was the will to fight for our rights. I never saw a protest in my 44 years of live. But in june last year millions of Brasilians took the streets to protest. We feel misrepresented by our government. From this act some issues were resolved and most were not but the feeling of this new beginning is in the air. A beginning of a better country for our people. I can’t say if any good will come out of it. We all know politics are not for amateurs. But That mask of Guy Fawkes makes me think about beginnings…

It’s been i while i know. A lot of work going on so not much time to post. Besides that we are in a really different time here in Brasil. In the last two weeks a totally new kind of awakening is moving millions of Brasilians to protest. We realized we are totally fed up with our representatives. I’m talking about years of abuse. In a country where a teacher can makes as low as 600 US a month the average salary of a senator going around 30000 US. I’m talking about people being treated on the floors of the Er’s for the lack of beds and sometimes even needles and things like that. And with all this the government decides to host the fifa world cup here spending 28 billion US in infrastructure. This is more than what was spent in the last 3 cups altogether. Corruption. That’s why Brasilians are protesting. It’s a really pacific protest with some localized spots of vandalism. I guess when 2 million people go to the street all sort of individuals show up and not all have the same agendas. What is amazing me in all this is the coverage the nacional and international press is show of this protests. I just saw in tv the violence and depredation of these small groups. I guess this sells more newspapers. So i decided to show you friends some shots i took in the protests. I was there for 3 days and i saw no violence. Just complaints against absurd laws congress are voting like PEC 37 were police is prohibited to investigate members of the congress (yes…they are voting that right not). Complaints about the prices to build stadiums. Most importantly. It’s making the politics crazy. Normally most protests starts in a political party and people are called to action. In this case there are no parties. Parties even tried to appear and raise their flags but the people forced them to put the flags down so no party would benefit from the protest. It’s a really amazing show of democracy. And here are some shots….
