Hello void. Once this was a well taken care of blog. There were friends and lots of exchange. Until…life took over and i didn’t put any more effort in this great space. Enough. Still life is in command and still is midnight here so that’s why i have some spare time. The fact is that writing is the best way for me to communicate with myself and you void is the best listener. You don’t expect gain and you don’t judge violently as social media does. By the way how angry and bureaucratic live in social media is growing to be. We are moving from 6 to 600 degrees of separation because of it. Anything is a reason for you not to agree and when you don’t agree in social media you must retaliate. Trump is surely a post social media president. He wouldn’t survive the old days of letters and post cards. Not enough room for discontent. As a result of all this now we have computers as main interlocutors between human interactions. I’m not sure it’s a good idea for us humans. I guess for computers it’s ok. Some people say some day computers will take over anyways. In the meantime i wish to get back to a less rude form of digital interaction and the space is exactly it. Thanks void. I hope you get back being a populated space with friends and exchange. Good week to you…

Today i’ve been in a lecture about modern era and what happened afterwords. Artists and philosophers learned the world was changing from the modern era into something else and they called Postmodernism. The dumb truth is that everything that came after the modern era is pos modern. So what happened is that after that other changes happened as well and there was no appropriate name for is as they were also pos modern. Enough about names what interested me in postmodernism is the idea that differently from the modern era that was obsessed with time postmodern society is obsessed with space. We don’t produce Picassos anymore and artists are not made to last centuries in history. What we have now is the search for transformation and the necessity to blend. We don’t present a painting anymore. We make an installation and mix it with some photos and sculpture. We prepare a space to become an experience. That is not just about art. In the modern it was all about time and progress and technology. Cars had to be faster. More expensive. Now its about space and care. Cars have to pollute less. In other hand is an era where individuality and memory are loosing importance. History is less known and people live for the moment. The past and the future are not that important. We don’t need to know history. We google it. We don’t need to know how to cook that particular recipe. We look of it in a blog. We don’t need to remember of a melody. We search it on youtube. What i learned is that post modern is not a place you want to be. Is where things are fading. Where houses are made to last 20 years and not 500 years and the old castles built in renaissance. It appears our legacy for the future generations is the personal computer and the internet. Technology. The art we are producing will probably fade soon. The architecture we are building will fade soon. The register of our generation will be really poor.

As they say an object in only real because we see it i believe we only exist because we belong. We have many kinds of belongings in our life. We belong to someone, we belong somewhere in place and somewhere in time. If you take all this out you have nothing. Infinite Tabula Rasa. I know it’s very hard to imagine. Even if we turn the lights off and take away the sound we still have gravity. If we take that away we still have things. If we take things away there is time and space. So it’s really hard to imagine but still something one have to agree. We belong therefore we are. If that is true why do we have the need for independence? Why are we afraid to commit? Why do we get away from relations? Why the need to scape all this? Maybe we are so used to dialectics we need to oppose our natures. Maybe just to belong is to simplistic and as we know so well we need to belong we also have the knowledge we want to belong to the best possible. When animals knows they are about to die the run to their groups or families. They run to their homes and neighborhoods. They run to their past and their history. It’s the only thing that seams to matter in the end. Even if we deny it sometimes we end up craving to belong somewhere and belong to someone. So instead of thinking passion is the true love i learned that belonging to someone is to really love that someone in the most powerful way.
