Wow… This week’s challenge is really “challenging” for me. I just don’t hav many shots of broken things. I wonder why. Anyway i’ll start the challenge with the shot that i use in the blog’s main page. I love this empty broken couch. Somebody used it a lot and then got rid of it. Makes me remember some kinds of people that do that to other people…
Perfect in black and white… š
Thanks!!! š
That’s an effective photo, if not the happiest.
I agree with you — I have very few photos that could illustrate broken. Not something that appeal too much to me.
I like old, worn, rusted, simple, etc etc etc
But not BROKEN.
Thank you…i’ll try to find a couple more today… let’s see what i can do š
Great shot! I wonder what stories it could tell?
Me too š
If only the sofa can tell its story. Perfect shot.
Thanks!!!
Giulas, I have always liked the photo of your couch. But why do you keep it outdoors? š
Well Katharine… As the couch is not mine i can’t say why it’s outdoors. š … I was looking at that land to rent and there was this couch there… I positioned and photographed it. The image is many but the couch… i don’t have a clue about who owns it.
I was just joking. I know you must have better furniture than that! The photo, though, has always been exquisite. š
I know dear!!! lol… i was playing along…my furniture is not that awesome but at least is indoors… but i really found it while i was looking for a place to rent. Thank you for your kindness. I like that shot because it was unexpected… š
Specifically, I love the way the pattern in the fabric mimics the ruble on the ground around it and the large tuft of grass points to the explosion of stuffing blowing from the cushion. Great composition and such a stark message. Yes, unexpected.
Thank you dear!!! That’s such a lovely comment!!! š
I’ve always loved this shot, sir
(and it’s a treat to see this pre-cropped version, too… which is wonderful as well)!
So very cool!
š
Thank you Sir!!! Welcome back!!! I hope you had nice vacations…care to share some??? lol š
Effective B & W composition. Sharp detail of subject and strong context in the surroundings. Sofa, so good. Well done !
Thank you very much!!!
